<p>I didn'y know anyone still used those. The graphics quality is poor in that GIF format only supports 256 colours, the number of images is small, so the loop is very short and there was a real controversy a number of years ago, because of ownership/licensing of the GIF format. It was a very good format in the days where 56kbps was considered an insanely high speed. Those days are long gone, and the only person I know that still uses dialup is because high speed isn't available in their neighbourhood. </p>
