Right we determined on IRC that Impress was the problem, and disabling it by changing the registry allowed you to start OpenLP.

Now we need to see if we can get Impress support working too.

You said you have OpenOffice.org 3.1. Would you be willing to upgrade to the latest version (3.2.1) and try a few more things? If so, then read on!

1. Keep that last .reg file you created, we may need it. The one containing "Impress"=dword:00000000, amongst other things.

2. Install OpenOffice.org 3.2.1. Run it at least once (to get rid of license screens etc) and then reboot.

3. Start OpenLP, go to Settings -> Plugin List, and enable Presentations.

4. Go to Settings -> Configure OpenLP, and on the Presentations Tab, tick Impress.

5. OK this, and close down OpenLP. Try and run it again. Does it start OK?

6. If it does start, hooray! If it doesn't start, run the .reg file above again to disable presentations once more. We'll need to investigate further, if you're willing!
