Greetings!
First of all thanks... this software is the only open source game in town as far as I'm concerned. Even some of the paid windows apps arent as nice and as simple.
I just tried out your alpha Linux version and decided to go ahead and put it on an Ubuntu box in our sanctuary. I'm anxious to be windows free and just can't wait for this version to mature.
Everything is stable enough at the moment but the Linux song database converter is giving me problems.
Basically the old install is windows xp with the latest version 1, when I copied over that db to the computer with Ubuntu and ran it through the converter I got an error saying: "There was a problem importing songs: no such table: authors. I tried several times.
Any ideas as to whats going wrong? Please tell me that I don't have to copy the hundreds of songs in the old database by hand!!

No, you don't. OpenLP 1.9.3 "Dashing Daniel" (aka Alpha 3) will be released in a week's time, and has an openlp.org 1.x importer.
Very Cool!
Now I know what the bible says about patience but will it be before Sunday?
Regardless that's great news!
Blessings!
No. Our releases always happen on a Sunday (it's our way of giving back to the Lord on His day).
Actually - a quick question just to clarify:
The windows version I'm running is the stable 1.2.6.
Will the new Linux version be able to import directly from a widows ".olp" file?
You may need to install a python-sqlite dependency on your Linux system, but yes you'll be import a Windows v1.x database from within v2.
