We have been using openlp1 in our church services for about 3 months.

The person who formats the songs frequently goes to use Powerpoint because she wants either multiple fonts in a page, or blank lines in page.

So I am suggesting a way to permit multiple fonts and blank lines in a theme for a song.

Some litergical responses should be on one page with an explicit blank line in the page. Some of our songs include parts that come in at different time, again requiring a font different than the default to give instructions about the singing.

Reader: This is the Word of the Lord

Congregation: Thanks be to God

Source something like:

<f2>Reader:</f2> This is the Word of the Lord

<bl/>

<f2>Congregation:</f2> Thanks be to God

The first character set is the original default font that is specified and used as previously. Character sets f2 to f5 start with the default font, but permit changing one or more characteristics, in particular allowing different fonts "arial" vs "courier" etc.

Thank for considering this
