John,

I've tried out the alternative title.

I have eventually got the openlyrics import to work (after trial and error as to what fields cannot be imported which make it fail, and other issues like not having a . [dot or period] in the filename, or having an & in the copyright fleid, etc).

I've got the alternative title working with the openlyrics import, as simply a second title as documented in the openlyrics documentation.

I'm keeping the first or main title simple. But I'm including a lot of info into the second title. This includes the title of the song/hymn, as well as the music (e.g. CMP1144 for Complete Mission Praise 1144), the songbook name, and if the song/hymn is a "Favourite" I'm including that word in the alternative title also.

This allows me to list all songs in a particular songbook. Or, to list all favourites, and so on. This is one of the main thing I would like. This allows me to list the favourites that we use regularly, so that I can look for a song that would suit - looking for one from a short list is practical, but I just would not be able to do it from the long list of all songs from all songbooks.

However, it would be ideal if there was a way to do more than a single filter, but an advanced filter that allowed at least two levels of filtering. E.g. if I wanted to search but limit my search to only "Favourite" songs, I cannot do that. At present, I can either search for "Favourites", or search for a Theme or wording in the title etc. I can't do both together.

It would be great if the search feature was expanded to allow for search against two criteria. Also, if the range of each criteria were different. E.g. if the first search was for text in the title (in my case "Favourite") and the second search was for a text string in the lyrics.

But at present, the alternative title allows me to do a lot.

Thanks
