Hi, I've been adding some songs manually recently. But I often found that when I wanted to save the song, the verse order was incompatible with the verses listed. E.g. V1 V2 V3 V4 was not possible because I had entered 4 x V1. I know it's only a small detail, but if I've already added V1 and I'm adding another verse, could the verse number begin with the next lowest free verse number, in this case V2? (The same could go for choruses.) That would make it easier to enter new songs, especially for the novice.

Which release of OpenLP 2 are you using? As far as I know this already works, but I'm obviously using the development version.
It doesn't work in the latest release.
While you can set the verse number to what you want, if there is already a v1 a new verse doesn't default to 2. It defaults to 1 no matter what.
Ah, I just checked trunk, it doesn't do that, and I know why. If you move around between the verses, the number updates to the current verse number.
What we could possibly do is when you press the insert button, it looks at the current verse number, looks to see if that verse exists, and then ups it if it does.
Raoul, I didn't know you could do add a new song without moving around between the verses. I normally add a verse, paste the text, then save the verse, then repeat the process. But a solution would be great - thanks.
Hello batmanjd,
In the Song Editor you can click Edit All to add/edit multiple slides in one go.
Cheers
