In the Bible Import wizard, if the copyright field is left blank, the user is greeted with this error message:

Empty Field

You need to set a copyright for your Bible. Bibles in the Public Domain need to be marked as such.

This seems well intentioned, encouraging users to abide by copyright regulations. However I'm not sure it's necessary?

Regarding NIV copyright, the official info includes this clause:

When quotations from the NIV text are used in non-salable media such as church bulletins, orders of service, posters, transparencies or similar media, a complete copyright notice is not required, but the initial NIV must appear at the end of each quotation.

http://www.biblegateway.com/versions/New-International-Version-NIV-Bible/#copy

So for the NIV at least, it is legally enough to simply have "NIV" shown on the screen.

Could we make the Copyright field optional? Or perhaps it's still a good idea to get users to supply copyright info, but allow the user to choose whether it's displayed on screen for each Bible? (The only way to get around it at the moment is to manually edit the Bible sqlite files and delete the contents of the Copyright field)

PS I'm excited to see how OpenLP is moving along. Thanks devs and others for all your work!
