I was happy using .mp4 video files in OpenLP until last week, when we got upgraded. Now I am able to play only .mov files in OpenLP.

I have also noticed that in 1.9.7 when I had a .mp4 video in a service and saved the service, it would forget what the video file was and I would have to add it to the service again. Now it seems that when I saved a service with an .mp4 file the file is not saved in the database, but it appears that a .mov file is. It takes forever to save a service with a large .mov file in it. So I'd like to go back to the old (broken?) way of using .m4 files and not saving them in the service database.

is that possible?

I am using ubuntu 10.04 on a laptop.

The .mp4 videos play fine in the standalone players, just not in OpenLP. That's what we had to do on Christmas Day as we had no time to figure out a solution before the service.

The reason for saving a service is simple. We set it all up on the Saturday ready for the operator on the Sunday.
