I'm new to this software, but I've noticed through a little bit of research that at some point, mp4 media was supported. I have downloaded the latest version from the downloads section, but seems like that feature has been removed?... Every time I attempt to preview or add an mp4 to a service, it says "unsupported file". All mp4's I attempt to import seem to say the same thing, and the video plays in other players (ie quicktime, WMP, VLC, etc) without an issue..
Hoping to use this software alot more.. but if it's media support is limited.. It gonna make it hard to use..
Thanks for the help and consideration.

Hi Jeff,
With the media rewrite one of the changes ended up making mp4 files show up as unsupported. This has since been fixed and so mp4 files will play in the latest development (nightly) build. But beware of the warnings about the nightly build before trying though!
Hope that helps,
Jonathan
I ran into the same issue before, but after installing the latest VLC, it seems to work fine now. You can try install VLC and reinstall see if it solves your problems.
Good luck and God bless
