I'm just writing this as a general discussion topic to share what my experience has been. I have a Epson EX31 projector that I'm using with a Gateway laptop on WIndows 7. I have been plugging in via USB weekly and it works great with the setup that we have at the theater we are in. The laptop is being remotely controlled via the web interface on an iPad, and then the pastor uses his Android phone to control the slides as well. The USB interface simply mirrors the Screen 1 (primary display) so the laptop is displaying the same image which works great because the pastor can read scriptures right on the laptop LCD while the projector shoots the image over his head on the theater screen. The only issue we have with this setup is adding videos in because I haven't been able to get the VLC player (in the nightly build) to actually kick off and start playing the video via the controller. To get around this I hooked the projector via the VGA connector and then positioned the live display window large enough that he could still see what slide he was on. Then I was able to hit the play button for the videos.

Hopefully this will help someone else in their setup. I'm anxious to see further progress on this great software.
