For cross-platform users, here's an alternative:

We sync the Ubuntu church computer and several Windows computers by using the Ubuntu One sync tool (which is integrated in Ubuntu, and available for download for other Linux and for Windows). Since the Windows version currently only synchronizes the "%USERPROFILE%\Ubuntu One" folder, I moved the OpenLP data folder ("openlp" on Linux, "openlp\data" on Windows) inside the Ubuntu One folder, and replaced its original location with a symbolic link to the new location of the data folder on all computers ("ln -s <target>
" on Linux, "mklink /d
<target>" on Windows 7/Vista).

The same method works also with Dropbox (Windows, Linux, MacOS), Spideroak, or any other cloud storage service that synchronizes folders from the file system; I anticipate it will work also with Google Drive.

The symlink would not be necessary if the sync application allows you to define exectly where you want the folders from the cloud to be stored locally. This hasn't been the case last time I tried it with Ubuntu One or Dropbox.
