I believe it is/was a way around: Make a transparent theme for the text and use a media player to play the video in the background. You have to go back to version 1.9.12 as the transparent theme is not working in version 2. I have done this to put Norwegian subtitles to a music video.
Im all for trying that, but after deleting version 2.0 and doing a restart and then downloading what I thought to be version 1.9.12. (thats what it says) from cnet. Then when I START to install it, it tells me its going to in stall version 2.0 so I exited the install ?
It have told so as long as I have used OpenLp long before version 2 var released. I just installed version 1.9.12 and the transparent theme are working fine. I was also told when I started OpenLp that I was running version 1.9.12 and the version 2 is available.
I think it is just for you to continue the installation.
A new version of OpenLp is announced this coming Sunday, Hopefully the transparent background is working after that.
No I don't seem to be having a problem with either: transparent theme, or video. Were the rub is I want to have a looping theme and then display a song over it. So it seems to be a problem of combining the two video loop and song.
Thanks for hanging in there with meThanks for hanging in there with me! LJ
You have to start the video not in OpenLp, but with a media player of your choice that are able to play in loop. I have used VLC. Then you can put the "transparent" song on top. This is a way around, since OpenLp are not able to do this at the moment.
