@fsmNokc one thing, NEVER move a projector that has been running, until it has cooled off and the fan has stopped. Another question though, how long is the VGA cable, and what type? VGA Cables fall into 3 types, There are the thin ones that are often billed as extension cables, they are very thin, they should be kept to short lengths (3m / 10') maximum, and kept away from other cables, especially power cables. There are better ones that are twisted pair, probably good to about 7m (25'), not all of the longer ones are twisted pair though, and you can't tell the difference, so I would avoid them. There are thicker ones, like the cable that comes with a projector or monitor, they are shielded, and good to about 30m (100'), although it takes a lot of video power to push the signal that far, and some video chips don't have the power to do it.
