martbarr Hi

I've just made a load of custom slides on home pc and need to move them to the church machine, but can't see how?
Was hoping that adding to a service and opening that on destination would work like songs ...

My destination db is well populated so can't just copy the sqlite file.

Any options before I start typing !!
thanks
Martin

mhalbrook Not an easy one, but you could, if you know basic SQL, use one of the SQLite management programs to merge the two databases. it can be done, but not a simple task, unless, of course, your a DB guru :D
googol Hello martbarr,

Please create a service file with all custom slides from the smaller database. Send this service file together with your larger databas to: support <> openlp.org

Regards
martbarr thanks guys
I did the merge - not too bad - but would be nice to get this working like songs do - self importing when moved to a new machine.

Thanks for the offers of help ......

Martin
raoul We have discussed this within the development team, and we'd like to see this feature as well. Unfortunately, as with all the other feature requests, they will only appear in the next major version.
andyhoyland Hi guys. I know this is from May, and it's on the Feature Request list - but I was just wandering if there was a way to do this yet? I'll give the sqp db merge a go if needed but importing custom slides would be great as we have a few people dotted around our parish adding stuff to the system!
Loving your work.Andy
raoul Hi Andy,

I'm afraid this is only going to be in our next major version. Until we have that released, none of the bug-fix releases will include this feature.
andyhoyland Thanks for the update Raoul.
Really loving using OpenLP now - I had a great geeky evening last night setting up a local network for the remote access side of things!
Hope all is well.Andy
