I was happy to see that there's an option to import song files from WorshipCenter Pro in the development builds. Being a user of WCP who's desperate to get out from under this piece of dead software, I thought I'd provide a bit of info from my own testing of this feature.

First off, the importing of the hymns database .mdb file worked very well. The only problem I see is in the layout of the individual songs themselves. Any songs with a chorus in this database only has the chorus recorded once, after the first verse. So, when imported, the chorus shows up as verse 2 in OpenLP, rather than chorus.

However, there's this to consider: Anyone who's entered their own lyrics into the program manually won't be able to make use of the import tool at all yet, as those files can't be exported from WCP in .mdb format. The format of the individual songs themselves is a .sng file. This seems to just be used with WCP, but it's easy enough to convert them to .txt with a command prompt. Also the individual files can be exported as a group into a .mla file (also seems to just be used with WCP).

If it would be of help, I'd be more than happy to provide sample files in these formats to someone who could use them to work on this feature. Just let me know where to send them.
