Playing Media in Preview

We currently use Easy Worship. One handy feature is being able to play audio tracks in the preview pane whilst displaying song lyrics on screen / live pane.

With OLP I can get all manner of media to play okay in the live pane/ on screen using VLC media player. However they only seem to play silently (if at all) in preview pane. Is there a way around this please?

If I need audio that isn't linked to something I am playing in the OLP service I just play it with VLC. I make my OLP window a little narrower and put a VLC window on the right side of it. That way I can see both OLP and VLC and switch between applications as needed.

Background - We used to use MediaShout which had a built in audio player. If we were doing a drama that had sound effects we would just use that audio player. When we switched to OLP we used the above configuration to accomplish the same thing.

Hello and Thanks all developers for this fantastic program. It´s perfect for ceremonies, but I got this same problem. I want to display a group of images on the screen and play some mp3 at the same time. 

Use 2 different programs OpenLP and VLC at the same time for one action is not practical. If we could enable/disable the preview sound with a new button or switch it shoud be fantastic

I look in the Development area but can´t find any about this
