Graphics errors in 2.0.4 on Ubuntu 12.04

edited February 2014 in General Support
After I completed the upgrade from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 with apt-get, I am no longer able to run worship presentations using OpenLP.  With "Bypass X11" disabled (my previous configuration), the worship slides do not update on screen 2.  However, the "Live Display" preview in the control window *does* update with the expected output.

I enabled the "Bypass X11" option and that fixed the display to the second monitor, but it introduced a different bug - if I change focus from the main OpenLP window to any other window, I get a full-screen artifact (solid blue) which blocks access to anything displayed on the desktop.  This artifact also prevents me from viewing the modal popups in OpenLP, including the "Settings" view.

Here's a few related specs for the system with the issues:
- Linux kernel 3.2.0-49
- ATI Radeon HD 5450
- Catalyst installed via package: "fglrx-amdcccle-updates 2:13.125-0ubuntu0.0.1"
- X.Org server installed via package: "xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.99~git20111219.aacbd629-0ubuntu2"

Is anyone else having similar issues?  Will any other information be helpful?

  • One quick update I noticed, after further experimentation:  If the "Bypass X11" option is disabled (to keep the fullscreen artifact from impeding the interface), the output display updates each time I move focus away from OpenLP -  such as left-clicking on the desktop background.
