Is it possible, to import my old songs (almost 1'000) from the programm called "PowerPraise" (format .ppl) in the OpenLP? I cant find it in the Import menue as an option. So is there any other way to convert my old songs into new ones so I can import them to OpenLP?
Greetings

I just downloaded powerpraise and looked at the few ppl files that comes with the install. At the moment I'm afraid we can't directly import the ppl files, but since the ppl-files is just XML-files it will be relatively easy to extend OpenLP to import these files. I'm almost certain that the next version of OpenLP (currently scheduled for October) will be able to import ppl files.
Until then your best option is to export the files from powerpraise to either txt or word format, and then import it into OpenLP using the generic document importer.
I might be able to create an importer for PowerPraise.
Could you please provide us with a few PowerPraise songs that are in Public domain which can serve as a reference for importing?
You can send them to support@openlp.org.
Thanks
Samuel
We have received your songs, thanks for that.
I have completed the importer for these files and it will be part of the next OpenLP version, 2.2.
A beta version will be available at the end of August.

You can try importing your songs and please report all issues you encounter.
But I would not advise to use that version in production since it's not stable.
