Hello,
I am relatively new to both OpenLP and Linux Mint. I need to fine a good tutorial for installing OLP 2.1.6 into Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela Xfce Edition. This isn't a high priority as I am just using this old PC as a test machine. I appreciate any help I can get!
Thanx,
Pastor Bob

cd /mnt/bigone/OpenLP-2.1.6 (Yours would be different.)
./openlp.py
In the OpenLP-2.1.6/scripts folder is check_dependencies.py which can be run to see what you need to add. I've found I need to add the python3 versions of these:
pyqt
lxml
sqlalchemy
alembic
dbus (It runs without this, but the above script says it's needed.)
Currently VLC needs to be installed to prevent a crash.

You should be able to add one of our PPA's (personal package archive) to your computer, and then install OpenLP through your software centre. Have you looked at the manual?
This is a bit old, but it should largely be the same:
http://manual.openlp.org/install_linux.html#linux-mint
Im having issues with new mint install when I try install the PPA I get an error that the PPA is not compatible with JAMMY
