Power point and web security tab

We use Open-LP for everything but have a problem that if someone supply us a power point with a web link in, power point wants you to acknowledge this and opens a window on the secondary screen that we cannot access because Open-LP takes the focus of this window. The first time we see this message is when we force close openLP because Open-LP is stuck on a loop trying to open the power point. Is there a way to get this message displayed on the primary screen. We have to find the web content in the power point and delete this before we can use it.

  • Hi,

I don't know if there is a smart way of fixing this, but you should be able to disable the warning using this guide from microsofts webpage: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/925757
Disabling the warning probably isn't the most secure solution though...
  • I've been seeing this and scratching my head for a while. For SEO purposes, the window's title is "Microsoft Office Security Options" and the key bits of the message are "references to external pictures have been blocked" and "Warning: this document references pictures in untrusted locations. These references have been blocked".

I wasn't able to disable this alert completely but added a "trusted location" for the path where I store files for my services (C:\Services\). You might also want to add C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\openlp\data to cover any Powerpoints that OpenLP makes a copy of.
