witterholt Hi,
My name is Chris and I lead a small group of volunteers that I am a part of myself that make sure everything is projected correctly in our church in The Netherlands. So far we used a commercial product but we are not happy with it because it sometimes crashes when a script contains multiple PowerPoint files or other media. It's not predictable when a crash will occur and the support department seems not be able to solve it. Next Sunday I am going to take the portable variant of OpenLP for a test run to see how it goes.
Things I like so far:- Dutch translation.- simple to use.- lightweight.- open: both database as script files so I can reprogram my login script to set up a template for the service and clear the media list.- good support.- price.
I also have some ideas for improvement that I will post in separate threads.
Regards,Chris.

raoul Hi Chris,

Welcome to the OpenLP community!

OpenLP is an open source project, so everything is open for you to take a look. The downside of this though is that we work in our spare time and so development is not fast.

We're always open to ideas though.
