As of release 1.0, no - at least not through openlp. However, that doesn't mean you can't use some dvd player software (i.e. Windows Media Player, WinDVD, etc) to be able to play the dvd to the projector screen.

Obviously, the most elegant solution is to use openlp once the feature is implemented. :)

However, if you decide to go the dvd player route until the feature is available, I would suggest using the s-video connector on the data projector rather than a switchbox. That way, you simply use the remote control to switch video signals rather than dealing with finding the right stuff to make the switchbox work. That is, of course, as long as you are using VGA to connect to the projection computer.
