jfunk7997 Hello,We've been using 2.4 for a while now and I was messing around with live backgrounds since it was disabled in 2.2. Using a transparent theme and selecting clips from the media panel, they work well, but don't loop. Our videos are only 30 seconds long and it's a lot of work to make really long versions and copy large video files compared to the small 30 second clips. Is there a way to loop videos? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
marcr1994 I'm still using 2.2, but in order to get my short videos to loop, VLC has the option to loop a selected media over and over again. I first setup vlc to loop the background on a fullscreen then i put openlp on top of that.

Hope this helps. :)
BrianAlexander I understand the developers are overworked and underpaid, but seems there should be a way to automate the VLC / Transparent theme method. This is a feature that's been on my wish list for a long time. Our church used MediaShout for a long time, but we needed to setup media systems at several ministry locations and the price tag is pretty steep - OpenLP did the job quite well and is only missing a few features to rival that rather expensive program. Integrated and reliable live background support is at the top of the list.
tgc On a less sarcastic note, we do hope to get live backgrounds working reliably soon, but due to us being volunteers, we won't make any promises as to when it will work. We hope to make it work reliably by 2.6, but no promises!
