Problems with windows 98 and powerpoint 2000

edited November -1 in Troubleshooting

I have been using openlp.opg now for about 2 months on my laptop using the Vista O/S and powerpoint 2007 and think that the program is great.

Someone donated a laptop to our church with windows 98 and Powerpoint 2000.  I installed release candidate 5 on this machine and although the projector portion works and slides will display if in native mode.

If i try to import a powerpoint slideset, I get the following error message
"Access violation at address 00000009. Write of address 0041BD9D"

I did not want to upgrade this computer if at all possible, so any suggestions would be helpful

Thanks for the great application

John
