Thx for the quick response!
<br>
On my laptop at home it is a bit sluggisch.
Startup time is ok -> 5 sec
Searching songs in title -> hard to measure, maybe 300ms?, it feels a bit sluggisch. There is a big difference in performance when there are a few results or when there are lots of results.
<br>
But I have a game laptop with i7 and 16Gb ram and SSD ;-)
<br>
On the laptop at church startup time can be 30 sec. And searching maybe one second. One second may not seem much but typing stops during search and when search is finished the additional letters I typed will appear and then I have a typo en then I press backspace, well you get the idea :-D<br><br>
I'm not sure about the specs of the church laptop right now.
<br>
I have tested it with openlp 2.4.3
<br>
Maybe the performance hit is in updating the userinterface which is maybe slower on Windows? (QT?)
A solution might be to start searching +/- 300ms after the last keypress and reset the timer on each keypress? Something that is seen in web development a lot, debounce: http://benalman.com/code/projects/jquery-throttle-debounce/examples/debounce/</div><div><br></div><div>Don't understand me wrong: I'm very happy with OpenLP, it looks very professional, also the source code looks professional and this is not a very big issue and I don't want to be a smartass. <br>But I thought that if I don't mention it then no one knows.
<br>
Keep up the good work!
