We're in a very old stone building without WiFi and where 3G doesn't reach. Can the Android and/or iOS Remote apps control the presenter PC or Mac via Bluetooth? Thanks.
I don't believe that's a built-in function, but even if it were the OpenLP computer would need a Blutetooth receiver and it would need to be close enough for a Bluetooth signal to reach - and free of stone walls between computer and remote.
Most likely, your best solution (short of a lot of new hardware) is to have someone at the OpenLP computer itself.
@blakenz You can do that, of course. In my particular case I didn't have an old WiFi router, so using the hotspot gave my the wireless connection I needed.
FYI, I tried @blakenz's idea several months ago, and Android will automatically disconnect from a WiFi network that doesn't have internet access for a few minutes. Which makes it extremely unreliable as a Remote setup.
Hi...I use the Android version of it. It is $5 and you can use your phone as a
remote for a number of programs and the Windows 8 start screen as well.
I highly recommend it. It is one of my favorite apps. You should be
able to use the app to Bluetooth from phone or tablet to PC. Use the
trial version first before buying if you can.

To confirm: you set it up as a WiFi hotspot and connect the OpenLP PC to that network?
