Ability to import songs from .ppt to openlp format

Love the software and love the layout!  This is just great all around.  I am hoping to save some time to be able to import all of my songs that are in a .ppt file into openlp.  This would be awsome if someone knows how to do this!  Thanks for all the hard work!

Ok feeling like a noob now and ashamed of not completely checking out the useful utilites site first!  Duh!  I will now attempt to convert my slides while I hang my head in shame.

Not to worry, it's good that you kept looking and found it :-)

Hope the script works for you... admittedly it was a bit 'bespoke' for my own use, but it may well get you started!

Ok I've been playing for a while now and found out that there is a extra popup box when you right-click on a song and delete.  It is not there if you use the red 'X' from up above the list.  Not sure this is anything just wanting to report it for the next release.

Thanks for the report. This is a known issue and will be fixed in the next version.

If you find any more bugs in RC6, it would help us if you could report them in this topic so we can keep track of them in one place! Thanks.

OK, so I downloaded the script for doing this, but I can't figure out how to use it.  It keeps giving me an error.  Do I need to run it through something else?

The scripts are all for v1 of the software, and are not supported anymore.

I recommend installing the V2 beta which has an import facility built in to it for PowerPoints via File -> Import -> Song and then selecting "Generic Document/Presentation" in the wizard. If you don't already have OpenOffice or LibreOffice installed, you will need to install LibreOffice first.
