<p>
I've posted this topic as somewhere that users can post their hints and tips when using openlp.org. Perhaps you do something clever to get openlp.org to do what you want, and you'd like to share it with others. Don't be afraid to insult our intelligence... I usually think of overly complicated ways of doing things, before someone else points out a much simpler 'common sense' approach!

<p>
I'll kick start the topic with the following:
</p>
<p>
- To promote items to the top of the song list (e.g. commonly accessed prayers) prefix the title with a leading space. E.g. " The Lord's Prayer".
</p>
<p>
- To add a blank slide to a song, or to insert a blank line within a single slide, put a single space on the relevant line instead of leaving it blank. (Note in the current version this may not work if you are set to wrap long lines. In this case, use a non breaking space. Hold down the 'ALT' key and type 0160 on the numeric keypad)
</p>
<p>
- Don't put any punctuation in the song titles. This makes it easier to search for songs by title without having to remember where the comma's should go.
</p>
<p>
- If a preacher quotes scripture during a sermon and you decide to put it on screen, search for the whole chapter, rather than just the single verse... just in case the preacher keeps reading!
