mvsoliveira I am having a very good experience with PCO to manage songs, transposing it on the fly, and keeping documented the keys we used.
I also liked a lot openLP. Is there any plan on integrating openLP to PCO?
raoul I did look into it a few years ago, but I haven't had the time implement anything. It's possible, just needs someone with some time :-)
mvsoliveira Hello Raoul,

I think i can try to write the integration if you give me some guidance.
I already have a code based in pypco that is able to connect to the PCO and get all the songs.
I also realize that openLP keeps the songs in a sqlite database.
It should not be difficult to update this database anytime the user wants to synchronize the PCO lyrics to the local db.
I was thinking in writing an external tool first and then we see a way of integrating it to openLP.
I see that the lyrics are stored int he database as a XML string. Which format is it? Is there a python parser for this format?

Cheers.

Marcos
raoul Hey Marcos,
The XML format is a stripped down version of the OpenLyrics format. OpenLP already contains a parser :-)
tgc Actually, someone outside of the openlp-team is already working on a PCO plugin, but it is not ready for release yet. Hopefully it will be integrated in the next release (though we do not make promises).
tgc I managed to convince our build system to create a windows test build that should include the PCO plugin. I have not tested it myself since I don't have a windows PC, so feel free to test.Get it here: https://ci.appveyor.com/project/OpenLP/dev/build/OpenLP-win-ci-b638/artifacts

Note that this is not a supported build!!!
