Unable to Create New Service and/or View Existing Service under OpenLP 2.4.6 (Windows 10)

In LIVE mode, I can see 48 services listed; however, I cannot create a new service under OpenLP 2.4.6 in a Windows 10 environment. All attempts to view previous services are not executed. Using the TOOLs menu, the view of the "C:\Users\New Hope\AppData\Roaming\openlp\data\" does not show any of the 48 services presented. Each attempt to create a new service creates an ALERT "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenLP|Service 2019-07-20-HH-MM.osz Don't have permission to modify files in this network location. Contact administrator per permission to make changes". Does this message require that the space allocation for "C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenLP needs to be expanded for additional files?

  • The service files should NOT be in the c:\program files directory.  In OpenLP, you can change the directory where all the data is stored...on Windows 10 it should default to c:users\<username>\appdata\roaming\openlp\data....you can copy the services to a folder in the data directory.
  • Possibly the default location has gotten corrupted? You might try moving/creating a new data file tree using Settings > Configure > Advanced > Data Location. I did that so i could have a location (C:\OpenLP_Data) that was available on every machine. Makes creating on one machine and running on a different machine much easier!
