Adding authors using xml

I have been given an excel spreadsheet with authors added for a new appendix .  I know I can export songs to xml. If I added the authors names, could I reimport them into OpenLP from xml source?

OpenLP can export and import XML in the OpenLyrics format.

It's a pretty simple format and you can read their docs at https://docs.openlyrics.org to see exactly how the author tag is laid out.
