Hello folks,
We are thinking about migration from OpenSong to OpenLP and I'm missing one feature which worked on OpenSong, so I would like to ask, if I'm missing something or if it is not possible.
In OpenSong it was possible to automatically add blank (black) screen between songs. In other words, when this option was enabled in configuration, each song (or anything else) you added to the playlist (service) was surrounded by blank screen. So you don't need to use any other button or keyboard short-cut to blank the projector between songs (you just hit the key to go to the next screen as usual).
I sit possible to automatically separate songs (and other items in Service) with blank screen? I know, that I can create custom blank screen and ad it manually between each song, but it is not much convenient...
Thanks!

I just put a blank intro and ending slide in each song
Yeah... that's possible I know... but even if I'll be able add those blank slides via some script to the existing songs, it will be quite annoying to think about it every time when somebody will add new song... and it still will not apply for other types like Bible verses, custom slides, images...
I've created Feature Request issue for this: https://gitlab.com/openlp/openlp/-/issues/709
@Horada: Are you on Windows ?
No, I'm mainly using Linux. Is there some solution available for Windows?
There may be a workaround already in the 2.9.2 beta version. There is a setting for
Songs
that adds a slide with thesongbook
name before the first slide of the song when you add the song to the service....if the songbook was 3 spaces then the slide would be a blank slide.I know this only helps with songs, but songs can be Custom Slides and Bible verses can be made into custom slides....so for most everything this would automate inserting blank slides before items in the service.
I've spotted this function, but since we have separated songs to multiple Songbooks, it will be quite messy for us to remove the current songbooks and put all the songs to one. But this functionality might be good point, where to get inspiration for implementation of the blank slides.
