We have been using OpenLP in our church for a few years but have never used it to overlay words on top of our video stream. Doing a bit of research and it seems the best way is using custom stage view via and import it via browser into OBS. (thanks to youtube guidance and "The Harvest is Ready - Media" channel with this custom stage files) I got that setup and working as it should. The dilemma we are running into is, a lot of our verses in songs are rather large, 4-8 lines. Primarily due to being a bilingual church. That doesn't work well with the LowerThirds overlay as it cuts off anything after a 3rd line. I remember a couple of years ago someone made a custom stage view that forced the text to a single line, or 2 lines. I've spent hours digging through internet and trying to find that custom stage file and can't find it. Basically what it did was, when the main screen shows 4 - 5 lines of text, and so does the stageView like this:
Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind, but now I see
This custom stage view would force all the text to a single line and what ever didn't fit would automatically wrap around to line 2 like this:
Amazing grace How sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found Was blind, but now I see
I have also tried to modify the .css file my self but, but not being very versed in that field I have not been successful. I have figured out how to modify other parameters like font type, size, location of text, just can't get it to get rid of the line breaks and reflow all text into single line...
If anyone could shed some light on this I would be greatly appreciated.
