Most of the time we are using the remote interface to present lyrics to the OBS input source as a web browser. Recently released version 3.0.2 Live view URL is showing the entire desktop screen.
We're excepting that the only Live view of OpenLP needs to display, as this feature is working fine on V2.4.6.
Because of this issue we were forced to go back to V2.4.6

Hello! OpenLP 3.x captures the desktop when you click on 'Show Desktop' option.
If you have a problem related on this, we need more information to understand the problem:
Thanks for your reply.
Even we we select Project option (not desktop) in OpenLP, It shows the desktop instead of what is to be projected, in the Web Remote- both on the web browser and on OBS input.
In 2.4.6 when we select project it projects in the web browser. Only in 3.0.2 it does not project as intended but displays desktop.
Yes we use custom display size in desktop. But still the web Browser display desktop and not what is intended to be projected.
We have used 2.4.6 without upgrading for a long time. And we upgraded directly to 3.0.2 and faced the above issue. Then just for testing we tried versions 3.0.0 and 3.0.1 also and faced the same issue and then we went back to 2.4.6.
We do hope that this issue will be resolved quickly so that we can also upgrade to 3.0.2 as this version is much better to use in all other features.
Screen shot with 3.0.2. In the web Remote , it displays the whole desktop
I am having the same issue. I was using 2.4.6 as well and upgraded to 3.02 today. The live view (\main) is actually showing my actual desktop screen with the transparent song lyrics on the top. Help please.
Also, if I move the position of the display screen up/down to use for OBS, I would also get a black screen on the live view on the web browser.
Because of this main issue (besides other issues), I went back to 2.4.6 as well.
Your main screen is using HiDPI scaling (scale greater than 100% in Display Settings). Do you use a secondary display? And the secondary display is with scale=100%? (we're trying to solve this problem).
Yes we have the projector connected as the secondary display. But the projector is controlled by OBS. As far as the OpenLp, the settings are as if there is only one screen.
Thanks for your efforts to solve this issue.
We are having the same issue. Any updates on this? Also thanks to the team for their hard work!
Please let us know if you need any further details for solving this issue.
Thanks for your hard work and commitment to make openlp more friendly and feature rich.
Disabling this setting makes everything work for me. Although it does need to be reenabled and disabled every time on startup.
(I am running OBS and OpenLP on the same system, not using the web interface to run OBS on one system and Openlp on another.)
I used OpenLP 2.4.6 for long time with OBS. I switched to OpenLP3.0.2 recently and remember a problem coming up. If memory serves me correctly, I had to reset the video source for OBS to capture the display from OLP3.0.2. Maybe something about capturing a window with 2.4.6 verses a display in 3.0.2? (I am getting too old to remember what happened 3 weeks ago.)
Whatever our problem was, the solution was in OBS not OLP.
I have found that our worship computer does not have enough resources to run OLP3.0.2 and stream the MAIN. Too little memory, slow network card, etc.
The above does not work for us. Even with the Bypass X11Window Manager unchecked, the same problem is there.
As per your suggestion, we tried reset the video source also. But the problem persists.
