Hi all,
First up a new user to OpenLP and it is an awesome piece of software. Absolutely brilliant has greatly improved our services!
I am just looking at future proofing us with exporting song lyrics to allow others to upload to their versions of OpenLP; however, I have hit an issue. When exporting the songs it seems to run into a problem when there are multiple artists.
I run the export wizard and it starts the export, but when it gets to a longer entry i.e. multiple artists it presents an error message:
I think this is related to the length of the file name it is trying to save because the wizard saves the file names as Title then author. (This is only the thought process of an amateur thought so probably wrong). The song it stops at is a long potential file name though, "Abide with me 4 (Words: Henry Francis Lyte (1793-1847) Music: William Henry Monk (1823-1889))"
Wondered if someone out there could point me in the right direction with this problem?
Those that are coding and working on this software please know how brilliant it is and equally how awesome you all are for building, upgrading and managing this. Outstanding work!

Hi @Dave_25 ,
From what I can tell, Windows can be kinda picky about its filenames (I use Linux, so I don't normally run into this issue). Is that file name generated by OpenLP? If so, we should probably sanitize the filename before using it.
Hi @raoul ,
I have discovered the issue was the way that the song titles were formatted in the .txt. file from our previous software. I need to go through them not and re-format not a fun job but relatively simple.
Thank-you for the suggestion on the file names that what triggered my brain to look at the .txt files.
Hope you are well and thanks again for all your work
after that i have erased alot in the filename i can export my song library
