Upgrading 2.4.6 portable to 3.0.2 portable
What is the correct process for updating a 2.4.6 portable installation (that I acquired via portableapps.com) to 3.0.2 portable just downloaded from openlp.org.
I'm guessing there are two possible approaches.
- Run the newly downloaded PAF file in the same folder as the original installation and let it overwrite the existing files
- Run the newly downloaded PAF file somewhere else and then copy across the old /data folder to the new installation
Obviously, the aim is to have the new version available while preserving all existing songs, bibles, themes, custom slide, services, etc.
Are there other approaches?

Not sure I understand your response.
I guess you're assuming I have a second new install of 3.0.2. Well in that case I'll need to export from 2.4.6 and import to 3.0.2, but how do you export my entire data set (songs, Bibles, services, etc.) if it's not copy over my entire data folder?
You can just copy your entire data folder over.
