Version 2.0

hi - is there a planned date for release of version 2.0 or any estimates of roughly when we can get our hands on it. I know that's most likely "it will be ready when it's ready" but i just thought i'd ask anyway.

also could i ask what the plan is for moving songs from the old version to the new - i presume there will be some kind of system for this but again i am just curious

ps i notice there's a reqest for testers - not sure if i could install software libraries but when it becomes a case of just installing the program and reporting problems (is that alpha?) i would be able to do that ( but then maybe lots of other people would also - i dont know -but im just mentioning in case it's of any help )

It's as you say, "it will be ready when it's ready" - at this stage we can't begin to estimate when it will be ready.

Yes, we're writing a conversion script, and we'll probably have an online converter as well (which will be useful to those who are not running Linux).
