@raoul - This should be a 'sticky message' in the forum or even a warning in the blog!?
So, it seems that a work-around for now is to just go to SongSelect once
in Internet Explorer, and from then onward the SongSelect import in
OpenLP should work. This is because OpenLP uses your operating system's
SSL certificates rather than bundling its own. We may have to change
that.
Well excuse me, but I only discovered the work around for this issue yesterday, and the development team hasn't had the time to fully discuss what to do about an issue that's largely unfixable and outside our control.
hi, I'm new to OpenLP and I encountered this problem too, however I can't get the workaround to work.
I'm running Windows 10, and OpenLP 2.4.5, and when logging in to songselect in the importer it gives me the "problem logging in" error. Visiting and logging into songselect in Internet explorer and MS Edge doesn't help.
@cmbeeley SongSelect changed their website. You can still download and import USR and TXT files, but we've got a fix which will be in the next release.
I've been running openlp since 2.4.2 on fedora; currently on fedora 25. Great product!! up till a couple weeks ago songselect was working on 2.4.4 and then stopped with the logon error: "There was a problem logging in, perhaps your username or password is incorrect?". I upgraded to 2.4.5; same problem. Is this most current issue affect all OSs?
Looks like The SongSelect interface is fixed in 2.4.6. Thank you! I did not see this reported, but a minor issue with the interface that I've noticed since 2.4.3 is the song search goes into infinite loop and continues to find the same set of songs over and over. The work around is to click "Stop".
@daver I don't use SongSelect on a regular basis, but I did notice something like that when I was testing it out. Thanks for confirming, I'll log a bug for it.
Hi everyone, thanks for this thread and various other messages about the SongSelect issue and the SSL certificate issue. I noticed that we weren't able to log in to CCLI last week, but we have updated from 2.4.4 to 2.4.6 (and another team member has probably used IE to download the SSL certificate). I was on projector today and I was able to log in fine. A cancel button would still be nice though please. (I may start a new thread specifically to ask for it) Let me also take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in OpenLP for creating, maintaining and supporting it. It's a great bit of software, and I really appreciate that you guys do this as volunteers.
