Samsung TV as monitor with HP laptop

hello
I am new to OpenLP, I am sure this question has been asked before, but I need urgent help. I have extended display set up but I cannot toggle between the the laptop and the TV monitor, when I do it shows on the main monitor that the congregation sees. When I use the "Black Screen" icon it goes black on my desktop also which means I can't work. Any Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

We use a TV monitor. Please explain what you mean by toggle. We send the OpenLP display to the second screen - the TV - and everything works as expected. We never toggle.

Hello....Open LP up on the screen but when I want to open another slide or choose a different song or do anything look up a scripture while the song service is happening..it shows on TV monitor also. I want it to just show on the desktop

It sounds to me as if you are mirroring your screens rather than extending the desktop. What OS are you using?

Have you read the manual for setting up a second monitor? Before starting OpenLP make sure your monitors are set up for extended desktop. This means you should be able to move your mouse from your main screen to the second screen and it should not simply mirror the main screen...
