I had this message when installing 2.9.4 on Windows 10. I had ticked the option to start OpenLP on completion and I think the window popped up after that. OpenLP didn't start from the install but worked OK when I used the start menu.
What versions of Powerpoint will the new version of the application run with on the windows version. I am using an old version on the Church system (Office 2007) and it loads the slides in the live view window but I have to click through an error message of:
"An error has occurred in the powerpoint integration and the presentation will be stopped. Restart the presentation if you wish to present it."
Powerpoint does not start and I get no display. Assume this is coming from Powerpoint.
Is my version just too old! It was working OK with 2.4.6 .
Just downloaded and installed 2.9.4 over top of a clean install of 2.4.6 on Windows 10 - 21H2. Thanks for the new version!
So far no problems other than an initial complaint about screens not matching. After a restart, that did not re-appear. I will continue doing some more testing.
I was wondering about the decision to change the "folder" icon in the Library tab, and in general the change to black & white icons. Personally, not a fan of the B&W, but that new folder icon just seems ungainly
Is video backgrounds looping on windows working? I haven't installed yet (haven't been to the campus where we are using openLP) but that wasn't working on beta 2. Video would play but wouldn't loop.
Is there still a problem with the newest portable version and transitions for use on a group of images added to the service? I created a custom theme with transitions and loop images but they don’t fade, etc. the last version did the same.
Thanks @raoul It seems to hang starting KeyNote before it gets to LibreOffice. If I rename LibreOffice and Keynote, OpenLP starts. The things I have tried so far work, except that slide text is doubled (attached screenshot). Text shows this way in preview, live view and projected view. The good thing here is that in v2.6, views on MacOS Big Sur would not show bold and other styles and they do show with 2.9. Footnote text is correct.
It should work, yes. Does the actual video file exist? How big is it? If a video is too big, OpenLP won't actually include it in the service file, and only includes a reference to it.
I have keynote installed on a Mac here, and it doesn't seem to affect OpenLP starting. I did seem to fix the hanging, so at least on my Mac it starts up.
When using a theme with a video background, if I click "Show Desktop", then click it off, the video background returns, but the slide text does not until I click on the slide again. That is unlike the behavior of a still background where it comes back immediately. Probably not a big deal, but unexpected behavior.
Also, regarding your earlier comment about "The icon is easy enough to change" - could you elaborate please?
@Jamie Hockin is that the OpenLP crash dialog, or the macOS crash dialog? The macOS crash dialog is not usually very helpful, but you can send it anyway, it might have some clues.

There are some issues with some of the background video stuff, I'll add this to the list.

I just mean that it is a simple change I can make in the code.
I'd be interested in the thoughts behind reducing all of the icons to black and white - makes the interface look (to me) "unfinished" or "un-professional". I definitely liked the colored icons better. Also the current V3 doc file shows all the old-style icons.
Also does this work ok with the installed version?? Can you use the transitions inside a group of images?? I know there was a glitch in the last beta also.
Ok I am having trouble with the transitions in themes period. Im running windows 10 and using the latest portable version. When I edit the transition it does not change in the transitions of group images that loop in service or if I change image slide manually. I can get the fade with manual next slide on individual image but not in groups. Anyone?

@ebowen Hmmm, yes, I think this is because of how themes are implemented vs images.

I was upgrading from 2.9.2
Should you be able to open a service saved from 2.4.6 that includes a video media item? The service opened but the video had zero length.
This is on Windows 10 and OpenLP 2.9.4
No idea about this? Still doesn't work. Thank you in advance to help us.

Fixed, loaded in a presentation with images but those images weren't stored locally. Adding new images fixed it

I'm on an M1 Mac, and when I defocus the main window the output disappears.

This has been fixed and will be in the next release.

Technically, they're groups, not folders. The icon is easy enough to change.
Yes, it seems to be working fine. However, see my note below.
?OLP 2.94, Windows 10 21H2

Also, that's probably the shadow on the text. Edit your theme and remove the shadow.
Thanks, @raoul. My bad.
re: startup on MacOS - Keynote loads OK, but my test keynote presentation would not display (error: presentation is incomplete).
I imported my default theme and song database. Looks good.
I seem to get a crash on exit consistently. There is no harm done. If you want, I can send on the (long) crash report or just the most relevant part.

We needed a set of icons that fulfilled the following criteria:
