Hi,

i found a new iOS Remote App for OpenLP on the App Store which works as described: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/openlp-remote/id730847052?ls=1&mt=8

Following features are supported with this Version:

* Control the Präsentation (Next,Previous,Fist,Last and Jump to Slide)

* Blank/Show projection Screen

* Show Desktop or Theme on Screen

* Queue Control - Start Next, Previous, Fist, Last or Selected Item in queue

* Show a Remark on the Projection Screen

* Search you Databases (Songs, Bibles, Pictures, Media, Custom - and add them to Queue / Start it directly on Screen

You "found" it.... I guess that "Ernst Reiter" and "ernst.reiter.16" are accidentally the same person.

Why don't you contact the OpenLP Team when you want to promote your APP?

Please make your app note that it is not an official OpenLP app. Until it is part of the OpenLP project it should not cause the user to think it might be an official app. Thank you.

Would be brilliant if OpenLP came up with a remote app though wouldn't it?

£2.49 is a bit rich to control OpenLP which itself has always free! Seems to go against the grain a bit eh?

Unfortunately creating an iPhone app requires a developer account with Apple, and this costs money. It also requires a Mac to develop it, which costs even more money. Therefore having an official free app is unlikely to happen any time soon.

There is however built in support for controlling OpenLP via a web browser though ( http://manual.openlp.org/web_remote.html ). There are currently a few issues with the latest version of Safari on iOS though which we've struggled to debug since none of the developers own an iPhone. If anyone wants to help with this, we'll happily accept any fixes!

Hi Gushie,

I have an old iPhone 3GS (iOS 6.1.3) and the remote web page works fine. It also works fine on my Windows Phone 8, an HTC 8x. However, it won't work at all on my iPod Touch (iOS 7.0.4), I just see a basic web page and none of the links work. I hope you manage to find a fix soon. Our band members all seem to have iPads, so the "Stage" view isn't available to them.

I am willing to help with testing, because I'm not a developer, and don't have a Mac either.

I got around the web page not working on iOS 7 by using the chrome app(which is free) which seems to solve it.

I just installed Chrome onto my iPod touch but no luck, I get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT I'll see if I can borrow an iPad to try it on.

Yay! Rebooted my laptop and it works on my iPod touch with Chrome! Must have been an IP address nedding an update or something.
