We have some songs in our database that have linked audio. I understand that due to file locations they only play on the computer that the links were established. This is not really a problem for us.
What is a problem however is that we often create our services on another computer. If a "broken" link is present in the song, the service cannot be saved, giving an error. Editing the song and removing the linked audio does enable the service to be saved.
Is it a big fix to be able to enable saving, even when the audio is not present?

I think this might have been fixed in our current beta release. Would you mind trying it out? Use the portable build to avoid your data (song etc) being upgraded to the new format. Once upgraded you can't downgrade.
This is still occurring in OpenLP 2.4.6
