Using Open LP on Multiple Computers

I'm preparing to build the services using Open LP on my home computer but run the content on the computer at church. How do I ensure that my Power Points, images and videos run on the church computer, is there a special configuration or option selection necessary to save the media content in the file that I can take to church?

I don't believe there's an option for the program to automatically save the media/ppt content somewhere for you to take with you. You'll have to separately save those files and have them installed on the church computer so OpenLP can access them when you run it.

Hello jmcarrillo and Camdross.

OpenLP stores PowerPoint and other files that you have on your service list to the service file you save. (Make sure they are on the list when saving)

So you should be able to transfer the list to an
another computer simply by opening the service
file on the other machine. (Atleast in 2.2 series)

The playback should be the same, assuming you are running the same software (PowerPoint etc.) on your church machine.

The information Camdross gave is a bit off,
but it's great to see both of you on the forums.

Just to be thorough, what about videos, are these also stored in the OpenLP file?

Unless you use the lite-service format, the video will be saved in the service file.

The method I found that works for me is to use the Portable OpenLP APP installed on a usb memory stick. Create the service at home and just plug the usb stick into the church PC and run.
