Blank to Theme no longer works after playing a video

In versions prior to 2.2 we could press T (blank to theme) after a video had finished playing and then click a new song and it would show the theme only, then when ready to play the song we would press T to unblank and show the lyrics. This no longer works (2.2 and 2.2.1). At the end of a video we press T and then when we click on a song it comes up straight away with the lyrics. I tried blanking to theme before playing the video, but this didn't work.

Is this a change/bug in 2.2.x?  Thanks

    We also love OpenLP, but we are also having the same issue after upgrading to 2.2.1.
    We also get a bug report if we try to change the keyboard shortcut.
    If there is a fix that would be amazing.

    I'm sorry to say that blanking to theme from video or presentation is not supported anymore. It might get reintroduced in later releases, but there are some technical difficulties that makes it a tricky.

    I don't know if this helps anyone, but this is the method I use between songs.

    When creating a new song (or editing an existing one) in addition to the verses and chorus(es) I add a "bridge" or "other" slide, but it contains no text. I enter this as both the very first and very last entry in the verse order. This allows me to display a blank theme slide while the pianist or audio file plays the intro. The same applies to the completion of the last chorus, I advance to the blank "other" or "bridge" slide to display only the theme image until the next song is announced, etc.

    I'm a bit late coming to this discussion, but having the same problem with OpenLP. I really used to like the "blank to theme" option. However, one alternative is to use "Blank Screen" in the same way. Instead of pressing "t" press "." and it works across all media, powerpoints, songs. It doesn't look as slick as blank to theme but at least it's a consistent method and would be easy to train out to people.
