The way to do what you want is to go in the music tab, select the desired music and editing. In the editing window go the Audio tab connected then add files, then select the audio file then burn.
Done so when you send display the music appears a pause button where you can start or stop music.
Obs .: In general settings you can dial into the audio start paused.
Thanks, Jinju. I'm not sure how that's going to work if I have multiple slides - displaying the words of the song which I am playing. But I will try it and let you know how it goes. I've just woken up on Sunday morning, Easter Day. Happy and blessed Easter to you all. Andrew
I use Windows Movie Maker to create the worship song videos and add the lyrics to them. Then I just import the video and play it. It may be a little more time consuming, but it is worth it as I am able to time the lyric slide changes up with the music and once the video is created, we have it in our library anytime we want to use it again in the future.
yes, I use iMovie to do the same thing - create what I think are called "lyric videos". I use those when we want to start teaching a new song. We begin playing it at various times a few weeks before the song is needed in church, and by the time it is introduced, people are saying in their heads that they already know the song - because they've heard it a few times!
I use Mac computers, and have tried this on two different Macs running different versions of Mac OS X - 10.9.5 on one machine and 10.10.x on the other, but both running OpenLP 2.4. It doesn't work on either Mac.
Out of interest, a friend downloaded OpenLP 2.4 on her Windows 7 machine and tried this feature and it worked with no problem.
And to top off all of my problems yesterday (Easter Day), the data projector decided to not work. In the end, all my preparation didn't matter one bit! What a day!
Selecting an mp3 file via Open LP media will allow it to play but with a black screen. The mp3 file can be added to ppt slides.
Sound added to 1 slide will play while the slide is shown. It stops playing when the next slide is shown.
In LibreOffice Impress ( ?Powerpoint?) it is possible to have the sound playing continuously whilst a series of slides are shown. To add sound to a ppt. Insert> movie & sound>> rt pane slide transition> sound>other sound; browse to sound file subsequent slides <no sound> till last slide when <stop previous sound>
