Agreed, it's not perfect for traveling between PC's unless done by technical users, or else you write a custom script to handle that for you. I'd love it if the paths were relative, and then we'd just need the same folder structure. Fingers crossed!
Has anyone tried using a GIF in OpenLP? If it doesn't work as a regular Image, try putting it in a Custom Slide (you need some Custom Formatting to apply the tags, FYI).
I'm curious if it works or not, but I won't be a…
I'd recommend a good old USB drive to copy the file from the source PC to the target. That should be easy enough to teach non-savy users how to do, I think.
FYI, I've actually heard of Dropbox issues that resulted in all records being deleted. It's…
That's strange. I don't have any debug knowledge, so I can't point you in the right direction. Maybe @Azaziah can help?
Worst case scenario, you can use VLC on its own to display video, and switch back to OpenLP for everything else. (But I hope it …
You actually can make a Lite file.
When you go to save the service file, change the File Type to OSZL. If that option isn't present, then you need to recreate the file from scratch and then save it as an OSZL type file. Note that existing OSZ file…
@Azaziah, it's not a crash per se, it's jerky video playback in OpenLP only.
@Mark Thompson, answer what you can of Azaziah's request, and also tell us what your hardware is, especially RAM, CPU, and video card.
Be cautious of up-scaling raster (pixel) images as you can get lots of pixelation artifacts. You've probably noticed this by now. If your logo isn't too complex, you can use Inkscape (also free software similar to photoshop) to import the image, t…

My inbox is not working so I'll ask here ...
My Open themes are not working I put the themes transparent and it turns black, and my texts get accumulated, it stays one on top of the other.
What should I do?…
Huh. We use a looping Custom Slide for our announcements too (12 seconds per slide), and I don't remember how we got OpenLP to change the default time. I *think* it was just a matter of setting the time and re-saving, but I honestly don't know - on…
Hi @preacherallen, sorry for the delay in response. The in/out points can be found by watching the DVD in another application ahead of time (for example, Windows Media Player or VLC). You may also be able to get the times from playing it in the Pr…
I think that's a great idea. At my church, most (but not all) of our songs fall under CCLI licensing. I've always thought it odd to display a CCLI for a non-CCLI. Unfortunately, I have no ability myself to improve the coding aspects of OpenLP, bu…
You're welcome!
Sorry if I've missed any questions of yours lately - I've had my hands full with "real life" and haven't had much of an internet presence lately. I'm getting caught up, though!
Sorry no one has gotten back to you yet. I believe this is a known issue (a forum search would confirm that but I don't have time right now), and I believe it will be corrected in a future release. You can try 2 things in the mean time. 1) Try ru…
I am running OpenLP 2.4.6 on Windows 10 (64-bit) and it works fine, so the issue is likely specific to your system. Let us know if the above link is helpful or not for you.
Any chance you can set your router to assign static IP's for specific/all devices? That might help. I do that for my home network as I have older devices that look for static IP's.
I'm not around my OpenLP computer right now to check, but aren't they sorted by name? Can you right-click/Edit to change the displayed image name? If so, that might be the way to do it.
@Buckgrove, that would work for Custom Slides, but not for Presentations. See my answer in your thread:
https://forums.openlp.org/discussion/3680/blank-to-theme-icon-not-available-on-2-4
Presentations don't really use themes, and they're not presented through OpenLP anyway (3rd party integration is used, such as PowerPoint, Impress, etc). I believe in the past it was a bug that allowed the Theme toggle to appear while a presentatio…
@keith, if you can't use the PDF method, and if you can acquire screenshots of your slides, you can link images into Custom Slides and display them. Use the search feature - I've got a couple posts about how to do that. The other option is to just i…
