Marty, I'm with raoul I don't use windows, but have you tried deleting the presentations and adding them again? I seem to recall having some issue and this fixing it in the past with some other items. I would say odds are slim of that helping but mi…
I'm not a Fedora expert, but I know generally it is more a cutting/bleeding edge type distro, and it appears Fedora 14 is no longer supported so I would suspect that could contribute to issues.
Might give a look at this shows how to backup and restore settings and data, should work seamlessly across different operating systems: http://manual.openlp.org/backing_up.html
Here is an old link on getting VLC operating in full screen mode: http://wiki.openlp.org/Scratchpad:Tips#Configure_VLC_on_Windows_to_play_a_video_on_the_second_monitor You would want to ignore the OpenLP part of that and set up a transparent theme.…
Video backgrounds at this time are very much a work in progress. There currently isn't a way to properly loop the video through OpenLP. Hopefully this will make it into the next release. I have no info that it will make it in the next release I am j…
I am getting in on this late, but I had talked with a user in IRC having the same issue with Vista. OpenLP did not show up in a list of applications that DEP could be disabled for. The only solution we could work out was to disable DEP system wide. …
After checking about this and then going home and checking... I was certainly wrong, I sure thought I remember that happening as you expected but it doesn't and isn't supposed at the moment. Sorry for building your hopes up!
My use of OpenLP on Windows is extremely limited so I'm not very sure where to go next. I would suggest possibly trying Phonon as the player. It could totally mess everything up but worse you would have to do is switch back. I will check with some o…
MrMatthew,
Have you tried playing videos with any other format? Possibly a .wmv .mpg, etc. I am wondering if this could be a codec issue. Could you give that a try and see if the issue persist?
Thanks
Wesley
I don't beleive anyone here has intentions of bashing CCLI. They make things much easier for churches to comply with the law and also provide a great product in the Song Select service. We use Song Select also for a reliable source of sheet music an…
I think at present you will be severly limited on what you can do, not saying its not possible at all just likely not feasible, especially to be full featured like OpenLP.
I don' think you will find any kind of native app for IOS or Android. Your problem with an app like that is the need for some type of external monitor output to get to a projector, monitor, or TV that is used. I'm sure its not possible, but I don't …
Phill, I was referring to the church's license number (but I see how that was misunderstood reading my poor writing!), and I thought that was imported when you import the songs, I know it is printed on all the printed copies, so that would just be a…
Simon, I'm pretty sure that sharing would not fit in with the terms of the CCLI license since the songs need to have your number displayed, or at least would not be within the "spirit" of the license. You should check out the import of CCL…
I installed Mint in a VM to test things out, the command line instructions located here: http://manual.openlp.org/install_linux.html#linux-mint-command-line-install did work, I suspect launchpad could have been having some network issues when you w…
The ppa is actaully just for Ubuntu, but generally what works with Ubuntu will work with Mint as long as you are using Ubuntu based Mint. Evidently something has changed with the latest Mint. I will see if I can replicate this and if so will change …
Hi, I haven't tried video backgrounds in a while but would like to test some things out and see if we can get you going, because I would like to use them also. What operating system are you runngin? Also (32/64 bit) and I will fire up a machine and …
I finally got a chance to check this using Unity 2D on my laptop using Intel video also. Everything works as expected. I must, however, have the bypass x11 option enabled, if not i do get the top panel showing over my openlp display. With out it ena…
Mark, glad you got it going, but that's a work around at best, with gnome shell you will certainly need the x11 bypass enabled, I use gnome shell and that's the only way OpenLP will function correctly. On your machine however I wouldn't suggest usin…
Ok, just to be sure we are on the same issue here. Your issue is that the Unity top bar is still visible?
A couple of things to try you might try togglnig the X11 bypass again after selecting the option to hide the launcher in your settings if you …
